Glass tiles

We are setting glass circles onto a bath vanity in Seattle.  The installation will be done with the utmost skill and precision with an artists touch.  The setter is Joe McCarty, with over 25 years experience in the construction field.
We know someone in Sammamish, Issaquah, Redmond or Bellevue wants this type of installation, we do commercial jobs as well.

Granite

You can find free granite slabs on Craigslist occasionally.  We will still have to charge for the installation but the bottom line is there is free GRANITE SLAB out there.  And don't forget you can always purchase granite tiles which is less expensive for you and the installer will charge you less as well.

Wall Removal

Where you removed the existing tiles you should have cut the back in a straight line down the edge of the tile using a utility knife or a key hole saw or better yet a grinder with a 4 inch diamond blade if you can handle the dust.  I usually try to cut the big back wall into four pieces and then the sides into two.  Be careful not to cut through the studs.  Take a hammer and bar then pry the pieces out.  Once you pull out a chunk or two out you will know how much you can pull out at a time.

Preparation for tear out

Of course I am able to help you with the design.  I like mixing glass, granite and marble.  But every home has its own style. There are endless opinions and shopping can be quite tiresome.  Nonetheless, once you have your design and materials it's time to start the tear out on the existing tile and backing around the tub.  Hire a plumber to remove the tub and reset the drain.  The drain needs to be moved to the center of the shower and have the plumber put on an adjustable drain.

Build your own walk in shower

Build your own walk in shower

The first thing to do is come up with a design. You can do this easily by going you to our local tile and stone stores and speak with their designers.  Be prepared to have a sketch or the bath floor with all the measurements and locations of the existing tub, sink, and toilet.  I suggest you visit as many shops as possible due to the fact that there are so many different types and prices of which to make your selection.  You will find that most of the tile and stone stores will have mock-up designs to help get you started.
